Flash really didn't like being a turtle. He just couldn't get used to moving so slowly, for one, and the lack of fingers really bothered him. He hadn't even tried moving from his spot in front of the computer on his desk--there was no way to get down except fall, and it was a lot further to the floor now. And he was getting hungry. Not that he would have been able to get into the fridge even if he were able to get there.

Right now what he really needed was a miracle.

He just hoped Shayera would show up soon.

Laughter was the only thing she really could do now. Really... she didn't mean to rub it in, but how often was the world's fastest man a turtle?

She picked him up and held him up at eye level, being sure to keep him far enough back that should he decide to retaliate he couldn't. "I bet you'd make a good paperweight in this form," She told him.

Shayera shook her head, still grinning as she sat him back down on the table. Him staying inside his shell told her enough.

"Sorry, Flash. But if you were in my shoes you would have the same reaction."

Shayera shook her head at Flash. She felt bad for him, being unable to talk and slow as... well... a turtle. He would be back to normal soon though, according to what she had heard.

She turned her attentions to a book she had been reading before all of this happened and leaned back in her chair to read.

Shayera heard the sound of the lettuce crunching and peeked over the book to see Flash had come out and was eating. She smirked to herself, guessing he had been hiding from her. She didn't say anything, though, and turned her attentions back to her book.
