RL with Suze, just for lulz.

It was early evening and Flash was on monitor duty up in the Watchtower. Since it wasn't that late, there were still Leaguers wandering around somewhere, probably, but for the moment he was on his own in the control room.

...he really wished he could turn on some music or something. Monitor duty was boring 85% of the time.

Flash smirked and stared back. He knew he wasn't good at these, but damn if he was going to give up without trying.

Suze returned his smirk and kept staring. She'd been working on this glare for years, having used it on the numerous bothersome ghosts she had met.

Yeah, Flash wasn't much for glaring. Batman was definitely better at this than he was. But he was making a valiant effort anyway.

"Oh dear, that wasn't a twitch that I saw was it?" Suze grinned, her stare still going strong. "I bet your eyes are awfully dry right now..."

"Hey now, that's cheating. Shut up and play fair."

Flash knew he was losing it, though. Any second now...

"No, cheating would be throwing a punch at your face right now," Suze said, as she felt the need to clarify. "I don't you could run all speedy and not blink at the same time.

"What do you mean? Just because I'm fast doesn't mean I don't need to blink." And with that he grinned and blinked quite deliberately, leaning back into his chair. "Congratulations, you just won! What're you going to do next?"

Suze blinked herself after Flash gave up the fight.

"Oh I don't know. I'd say I'm going to Disneyland but that seems a bit cliche."

"I like Disneyworld better anyway. More stuff to do. Although Disneyland does have its perks." Flash sighed and let his gaze wander over the screens again. "Damn, I hate this part of the job," he muttered to himself.

"I've actually never been to either," Suze told Flash. "Maybe I'll get to one someday."

"Hey, I'd be glad to go with you." Flash paused for a second. "Wait... thaaaat might not work after all."

"Why?" Suze asked, but then paused. "Oh, the whole secret identity thing right?"

Flash scratched his head. "Uh. Yeah. I mean, I like you, don't get me wrong, but..." he shrugged. "I can't just go around telling people who I am. That would kinda defeat the whole purpose, you know?"

"Well, it's not exactly a problem, considering I already know your secret identity," Suze said, probobly more casually than she should have.

Flash froze.

There was a very laden pause.

"...what?"

"Well I did mention I knew you because I watched the cartoon right?" Suze said, a little slowly, as if that would help. "It may have mentioned the secret identities...Wally."

Flash blinked.

"Right."

He fidgeted for a moment as it processed. Then he brightened up again.

"Well then, nothing keeping us from going, is there?" He paused again. "Um... do me a favor and don't talk about, 'kay? It's... well, it's kind of supposed to be a secret, you know."

Suze feigned a shocked look, putting her hand on her forehead with a dramatic sweep. "Now that hurts! You really think I'd go and tell?"

Flash grinned a little. "Hey, it's important. I just want to be sure."

"Don't worry," Suze assured him. "Your secret's safe with me."

"So Disney world or land?"

Flash spread his hands out. "Up to you. What with your hopping thingy and my speed we could go wherever the hell we wanted. And since you've never been to either, it's totally your choice."

"I'll go with Land this time around. It's closer to home, so less distance to jump," she reasoned. "Then I won't like, pass out in the middle of Small World."

She stopped.

"Not that I'd actually go on Small World."

"Oh come on, Small World's a classic! Sure, it's annoying as hell, and the song gets stuck in your head for hours on end, but you just can't have the Disney experience without it!"

"No way," Suze shook her head. "You'll have to literally drag me on to that right, or at least try. And trust me, I would not make it easy on you."

Flash grinned. "Hey, just 'cause I'm a superhero doesn't mean I've had everything handed to me on a silver platter. I'll get you on that ride. Count on it. Even if I have to pick you up and run you in."
