[Wally got a package in the mail! It's addressed to him and everything! EXCITING! He opens it up and... oh.

It's his superhero costume. He doesn't take it all the way out of the box, he just... stares at it.

Then he frowns and says, almost petulantly,]

Oh come on, that's just not fair.

So hey this whole mail business... so they give you some of your old stuff back after... weird stuff happens? Is this a regular thing?

Technically they didn't take it away most of the time, they instead just 'left' it back home. But you're right, it's a ridiculous thing to do either way. Then again, they kidnapped us to this place to start with, so their intentions have never been good in any way.

Yeah, the whole situation is pretty ridiculous. But it's weird... what are their intentions? Does anyone know for sure?

Aside from making us live these fake lives? No, nobody knows.. They just want everyone to live here forever, but the exact reason for that is still unknown.

Who knows.. Maybe they're just insane.

Well they've got to be to think any of this was a good idea.

Well, it might be a perfectly good idea from their point of view! [ a giggle. ] It's just harder to see it for us since we're the captives.

Yeah, that's a good point. Still, you gotta be weird to think this is a perfectly good idea. Although I guess there could be some kind of situation where it works, but I can't think of what it might be.

No, you're right. You 'gotta be weird' indeed to think it's a good idea. And this is why I'm fairly sure our captors are just downright insane, or pretty close to it.

Well I haven't met them yet, so I guess I'll find out.

Ah? Are you still fairly new, in that case? That Lucy girl seems to speak up pretty often..

Yeah, pretty new. Got here a few weeks ago.

Yes, that's pretty new. I have been here since March, so it's been more than half a year.. You get used to the way this town works after a while, even if there seems to be no escape even after all this time. In fact, some people have been stuck here for years, apparently.

Years? Holy crap. That's just nuts.

Hmm, it's how long some people have been stuck here without an exit. And I'm sure they've tried looking for one by now.

Well yeah, I don't think anybody could spend any amount of time here without at least giving it a shot.

I've personally given it a shot before too, but it didn't lead nowhere. That was back in March when they suddenly had that big highway opening up near the city.. But it only looped back to this town, no matter how far you went by car.

Oh, it's still there. I've seen it a couple of times. Haven't tried driving down it yet, though. I should give that a shot, just to see for myself.

Who knows, perhaps you might be able to reach that other town we did come across half a year ago. But it seems they closed all entry to that place afterwards.
